She stared at the message replacing the symbols with letters that looked similar until it made sense. “Oh,” she said catching on, “I get it.” Yet, she was unsure if she should reply in words or by Flash Mail as well. Is there some kind of etiquette for speaking online with someone who can’t speak back? She was just glad there was a way she could get answers.

He had to give her credit at least. Usually it took longer for people to decipher the corrupted text he used in communications.

//…D%S+g^atio=?//

The knight cared little about which method she used to reply, as long as they were actually able to converse.

This one was a little harder to decipher than the first but used the same method as before until she got it. Desig…nation? She wasn’t entirely sure what it was supposed to mean. What sort of designation were they talking about? Her questions from before dissolved themselves into her confusion over the messages meaning; it became the matter of importance while the rest waited in the back of her mind. She was never any good at riddles. “Huh? What do you mean by that?”

Ah, right. Humans didn’t exactly use the same terminology as self-aware programs. No matter, that was something easily circumvented. Kite sent another message for clarification.

//…N*me.//

He wasn’t talking about just her character’s name either.

Azure Kite allowed his head to cant to one side at the approach, naturally somewhat wary but not about to stop the boy either. Then he nodded again in answer to the inquiry. Unfortunately, the knight’s disability prohibited him from giving a full answer.

  // Standing in front of the other— the angel examined him briefly. The other seemed to be mute or simply too shy to speak. It didn’t lessen Andrew’s determination to try and communicate with him at least. Though he did keep a bit of distance between them as to not frighten the other or provoke him.
“Are you a zombie? I don’t mean to be rude— but.. your clothing and appearance..”

…A zombie? He remembered being called that on several occasions, though the program could never quite figure out if it was meant as an insult. At least in this case it was made clear that the term wasn’t being used that way.

In reply the male shook his head. Appearances were often deceiving.

“……” This was the Epitaph User Atoli, if he recalled correctly. A slight nod was given in acknowledgement, but nothing more.

“…?”

She looked at the avatar, it seemed she had been see him somewhere.

“Um, do I know you?”

…She didn’t recognize him? That came as a surprise, no matter how mild it was. One would think that he was among those that weren’t easily forgotten.

A slow nod was given in answer to her question. The AI could only wait and see where it went from here.
